Centre of e-Learning
One of the things that people working at the Centre of e-Learning have in common is the belief that better education means better future. We are moreover well aware that Internet and computer use can vastly believe the quality of eucation. We also believe that education is not closed within the walls of school or university and it does not end on the day one receives her or his diplomma. That is why we passionately engage in e-learning and life-long learning activities.
We are the unit of the AGH – University of Science and Technology in Krakow. Our main task is to develop e-learning at our Alma Mater. We administer and develop Moodle, the University Learning Management System. We train AGH employees in methodology and technology of e-learning.
Our activities are not limited to the University though. We direct our offer also at teachers (e.g. trainings), students (e.g. virtual activity clubs) and schools (e.g. LMS hosting).
We particpate in many national and international educational projects. We have already been collaborating with dozens of institutions from many European countries. The results of our work have been presented at numerous conferences and described in many articles.
The special area of our interest is e-portfolio, a dynamic system for documenting and managing one’s personal development. We not only use it but we also analyze the possibilities for its application, create training materials which show how to use it conduct workshops and adapt e-portfolio software to Polish conditions.
We also invite you to our blog (in Polish), where we share with you information and trivia from the area of our professional interest. You will be able to read notes on new trends in education, life-long learning, social aspects of the Internet and initiatives taken up by Centre of e-Learning.
